Saw this back in 2010 at Fantastic Fest. I thought this was a really great movie. The premiss is very interesting and refreshing compared to most recent stuff coming out today.

The story is overshadowed by the spectacle of seeing the Swedish group "Six Drummers" performing experimental and conceptual percussion music with everything imaginable (machines, beep sounds, human skin, coins, electric wires, etc.) The 4 musical numbers are entertaining, they keep you moving your head all along. In general, the movie has some funny things, and I like the premise of contemporary ways of creating art (music in this case) trying to break tradition and establishment. But I definitely think that the filmmakers could have worked a little bit more in the writing of the story.

Sound of Noise is outside the box, original and inventive. It's also hilarious, and extremely entertaining. The film is one of SFIFF's highlights.
