Son of Flubber (1963)

Beleaguered professor Ned Brainard has already run into a pile of misfortunes with his discovery of the super-elastic substance "Flubber." Now he hopes to have better luck with a gravity-busting derivative he's dubbed "Flubbergas." Ned's experiments, constantly hampered by government obstruction, earn the consternation of his wife, Betsy. But a game-winning modification to a football uniform may help Ned make the case for his fantastic new invention.

With the exception of a few great sight gags, this movie is a forced sequel that doesn't at all have the energy or fun of THE ABSENT-MINDED PROFESSOR. Here the big event is a football game that while having a few funny moments, doesn't even come close to the Basketball game in the original.

A very family friendly film when you could send your children to the theatre and not worry about what was being shown. ( some may consider this film corny by todays standards ). Still it was a cute film, also Disney films list cast at beginning of film, something I like.

An entertaining sequel that brings flubbergas to the football field. Ned Brainard will always be one of Fred MacMurray's best characters. (First and only full viewing - In my mid-twenties)
