fantastic... absolutely perfect little film.

Very funny, heartwarming feelgood movie. Thomas Turgoose puts in a charming performance. Really great lazy afternoon film. Not nearly as violent and rough as the other offerings from Shane Meadows - don't expect another Dead Man's Shoes or This is England - but do be pleasantly surprised.

This gives a really good picture of what London is really like. Maybe I have a soft spot because it's set around the corner from my house, but I thought it was really sweet and low-key.

I've certainly got a case of the warm-and-fuzzies about British filmmaking this week, having seen Boyle's Slumdog a couple of days ago and now this - a magical little gem from the always reliable Shane Meadows. It's just perfect; a moving and subtle film in the vein of 'Romeo Brass' ... I loved it.
