The weight of dull clichés only makes the stilted dialogue harder to stomach.

While watching this movie I was sure it was written by some young wannabe playwright who should quit his day job. Imagine my shock to learn it was written by acclaimed writer Neil LaBute. I don't know what happened to him but this script is painfully bad.

A final twist stamps this as a companion or corrective to The Shape of Things, this time with the man as the monster. This isn't as bracing as that film, but it's far from the horror show LaBute's detractors often accuse him of writing.
