Twenty years ago, Kurt Cobain was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The world was told it was a suicide, but evidence would lead many people to believe it might be otherwise. The film investigates the possibilities that exist that Kurt Cobain's death might not have been a suicide, that the Seattle Police Department rushed their verdict, and the global media perpetuated lies and misinformation fed to them by Courtney Love that created the belief in many that Cobain killed himself—but when revealed to be lies—lead many to now question what happened.

It was interesting and presented in a unique way. I think that more could have been done to lend credibility to the recreations, but one I thing I think it importantly underscored was not only the incompetence of the Seattle police in 1994 but also that what's really holding things back is the Seattle police force's pride, which is only human I guess. Eventually though, there's going to come a time in which experts can look at what evidence remains and it should be interesting, frustrating, and sad to see what that will turn up I'm sure.

I can't believe the reviews of this so far. This film was incredible and brings up many very important points that most people seem to want to dismiss or overlook.

The documentary that Courtney Love doesn't want you to see. Well researched and presented. The forensic and homicide experts really added weight to investigator Tom Grant's findings. And the reenactments are awesome. In 90 minutes you get a clear and compelling explanation of why Kurt Cobain didn't commit suicide, but instead was murdered. Now, who would have had a motive to kill Kurt? Well, who has by far benefited the most financially from his death?

This documentary on the death of Kurt Cobain is unapologetically one-sided, just as some think Michael Moore's movies are, but so what? If you go in neutral, there is no way you couldn't come out thinking something fishy went on, so the film did its job. But, there are really only a couple of points that really mean something, the rest is filler. I did enjoy the merging of actual taped conversations to the the dramatic representation of those occassions.
