What I responded to most about Grand Theft Parsons is that it tells the story without excess sentimentality...a funny, engaging movie that's worth seeking out.

Surprisingly, Johnny Knoxville can act! Decent movie if you know the story, but not really that engaging

it kept me watching because it's a true story otherwise it'd just be another cheesy movie. knoxville actually surprised me as an actor here

It turns one of country music's biggest tragedies into somesort of irreverent and farcical pantomime. It seems to debase and exploit the legend of Gram, and for this I should hate it. But there is something quite entertaining about it in spite of all this.
