Smash Cut (2009)

Television news celebrity April Carson turns to the services of private investigator Isaac Beaumonde to seek her missing sister, a stripper known as Gigi Spot. Carson assumes a role in a horror movie in the process, eventually learning that the movie's director, Able Whitman, is not only the culprit, but that he has rendered her sister's body into props for the production.

le film s'assume en tant que mauvaise sÃ©rie B , mais on s'ennuie par les dialogues qui mÃ¨nent Ã rien et les scÃ¨nes gores peu accrocheuses. L'acting est misÃ©rable seule Sasha Grey ( Pornstar de renommÃ©e internationnale) donne une performance juste et sans prÃ©tention. Elle devrait vraiment jouer dans un film mainstream qui la mettrait en valeur. DÃ©cevant.

I could not possibly believe how this movie turned out to be so disgustingly bad. The trailer is good, as far as I can remember. It is funny in a way that it tries to be cool, but all it could offer are jokes simple enough to think that they are dumb. This B-movie has lots of cuts, , cheap special effects, and never horrifying, sometimes funny screenplay. Besides the good cinematography, nothing else is good about this film. It is pretty understandable that it is a satire of the gory filmmaking industry, but the screenplay failed to expose its agenda. Added to this are the real bad actors, especially Isaac Beaumonde, the silly-acting detective.

A movie made by people with too much money and not enough ideas. The movie is about exactly the same thing, so the audience is not estranged. Sure it has its moments here and there, but overall I was sadly disappointed.

I dont think the people who hated this understood the joke behind the film. It was a respectuful tribute to Gorden Lewis the Gofather of gore. A director of bad films goes nutz after a car accident and runs amuck killing everyone he works with one by one. The acting is over the top but it was intended that way and the direction has the wink win nod to horror fans. Awesome kills and plenty of gore. The scene where Ozzy throws up a harpoon and catches it with his chest and stands there admiring the thing sticking out of his chest before he acts out pain makes the point of they were not takig the film seriously and its clearly tounge in cheek. I loved it.
