I LOVE this movie!!! A sequel/prequel that really works. I love Norman Bates so much because of Tony's performance. Outstanding actor, outstanding character, outstanding series. Bless you all. Hey, Mick Garris! Rock N' Roll!

Ok prequel/sequel explaining the origin story of Norman Bates. It's a little hokey with Perkins as Bates phoning in to a radio show about matricide and Henry Thomas playing a young Norman Bates. It's entertaining enough but ultimately kind of unnecessary.

170416: Other than the original, a pretty weak franchise. Can't see any reason to ever come back to these films.
