You don't see this movie for story. You certainly don't see it to enjoy a great script. The reason to see Skyline is the incredible art direction and slick special effects. If you're not an effects buff or science fiction art connoisseur, go ahead and rate it low. If you do love the art you see in things like Heavy Metal magazine, Independence Day, Alien, and so on, you'll love this. Promise.

For a movie on a $10 million budget, it delivers more and better bangs for the buck than many blockbusters ten times the price. It's just a shame they couldn't find actors who deliver equal efficiency. Or script doctors, for that matter.

I think most people missed the point of this movie. I was not expecting much from it after 20 minutes. The fact that it restarted after doing a days backstory, did not help its case. The special effects are just what people expect these days, and the dialogue was some of the worst I have heard in a long time. However... It is the differences that elevate this film. In real life there are few heroes. There are no last minute rescues, there is no reprieve from the nasty monster. I can hear all those people saying 'We watch to escape from reality!' Agreed. But it is the fantastical (aliens) mixed with the reality of the weak that lifts the film, and gives that escapism with a reality flavouring. Personally I could do without seeing another formulaic attempt at filmmaking. I have to say that most of the reviews here are shallow, derivative and with nothing original to say. Do try to find the good in whatever you do: It makes for a much nicer world.

How can 10% of critcs like the movie, and 75% of people who seen like it? I wish snobby movie critics would stop reviewing movies that they aren't interested in. If yoy son't like sci fi movies why are you reviewing them? I always look reviews from people who went to see the movie. If I rated a love story it would get 1 star that doean't mean it stinks, alot of people probably would love it, thats why I don't review movies from a genre I don't care for. Critics hated Transformers 2 and it made over 400 million in USA alone, somebody doesn't know jack there And money talks baby!

La ponian tan mal, que ha superado mis espectativas. Peli de alienigenas con mucho efecto, mucho bicho y suficiente accion, aunque con unas actuaciones de sus protagonistas ciertamente mejorables, y una historia no del todo acertada. El final no gustarÃ¡ a muchos porque deja la historia a medias, como si se les hubiera acabado la pasta o quisieran hacer una segunda parte de manera inminente.
