"Jisme hai dum, toh fakt bajirao singham"! Full of dialogue-baazi and maar-dhaad straight out of 80's/90's in modern avatar. I was laughing my head off at some of the scenes and Mr."Prakash Raj"..what a terrific actor.. Why was he away from bollywood for so long?. One of the best villains in recent times. One full star just for him.

Overly righteous village cop Singham makes the mistake of letting a Goa villain go. Two hours later, he corrects his mistake. Epic slow-mo, awesome lighting/action and only two musical numbers. Great Bollywood flick.

More and more, Bollywood movies are urban tales for urban audiences. What feels most backward-glancing about Singham is its uncomplicated, even cartoonish insistence on the benefits of village soil over city dirt for cultivating bedrock Indian values.
