Miles Logan is a jewel thief who just hit the big time by stealing a huge diamond. However, after two years in jail, he comes to find out that he hid the diamond in a police building that was being built at the time of the robbery. In an attempt to regain his diamond, he poses as an LAPD detective.

Better than I was expecting, this is a faced paced and never boring film with an unrealistic but interesting plot. Action packed, sometimes funny film with let down by some huge, unmistakable cliches which are normally packaged with this sort of film. The black anti-hero: Check The ridiculous sitiuation: Check The chalk and cheese friendship: Check The big all out action finale: Check But despite these, it still manages to entertain because it is all that we expect and, although we may hate to admit it, it is all we really want from this sort of comedy. Easy to follow, acted with great timing by Martin Lawrence, some other above average performances. As it turns out, it isn't all that bad. So if you want a typical action/comedy and a good old fasioned guilty pleasure, then look no furthur than this.
