Silent Rage (1982)

Slow paced, and even goofy for a Chuck Norris film. His character isn't too likable, nor is it very different from his usual role. It is a neat chance to see him face a slasher-villain, but the ending is anti-climatic. Too many out-of-place sub-plots, while the main plot doesn't have enough filling.

Easily Chuck's best movie with our hero as a small town Sheriff battling a superhuman psychopath brought back from the dead by misguided scientists. Great fight scenes and moments of real tension - Chuck even has a love scene!!

This movie is unintentionally hilarious, I think. We got an insane unstoppable killer with an ax, ripping off the famous ax scene from The Shining. He then becomes a genetically engineered super-villain by a doctor who might as well be Dr. Frankenstein (which this film rips off as well) And in the middle of all of this you have Chuck Norris as a Texas Sheriff who has to stop the villain. This film is the most mind boggling genre combination ever.

Pretty cheesy action/slasher movie from the early 80's. It's the closest thing to a slasher movie Chuck Norris will be in as he takes out an unstoppable killer, drags at points but if you like Norris doing his thing and slasher movies then check it out, 3 stars.
