Shutter Island Is A Excellent Piece Of Work.Leonardo DiCaprio Delivers A Great Role Like Always.Him And Martin Scorsese Make A Great Movie Together Since The Departed.This Movie Had A Pretty Good Cast Of Oscar Nominees.But This Movie Was A Little Confusing.But I Still Like It.Shutter Island Is A Movie To See.A

One of my favorites. Very true to the novel. Great suspense and DiCaprio's performance is amazing. Perfect balance of suspense, action, and drama.

Lately, I've been in a Marty Scorsese kinda of mode. First, Goodfellas, then the Departed & now, Shutter Island. Don't get me wrong, I love all of Scorsese's gangster flicks but it's these types of films (the Aviator, Hugo, Cape Fear) that show what a great storyteller Scorsese is. SI is a fantastic mystery/ thriller set just outside of Boston in the 50s. Leo DiCaprio & Mark Ruffalo (very underrated actor) play US Marshalls. They are sent to a psyhe prison located in Shutter Island to investigate a dissappearance of a patient. The pace, the setting, the mood set the stage to what in my opinion is one of the best thrillers I have seen. The cast is great, soundtrack & cinematography are excellent. In short, Shutter Island is a great Blu-Ray DVD for the collection.

This is truly an amazing ride from the opening credits to the mind-boggling conclusion. The transitions from his nightmares to the real life are amazing. However, I did somewhat guess the twist before it actually happened.

A mindbending masterpiece. This movie is usually disregarded as one of Scorcese's "ehh" movies, but that's because it isn't as similar to Goodfellas as they want it to be. This movie proves that Scorcese can do more than just fun gangster movies. DiCaprio gives a phenomenal, under-appreciated performance, and it also features fantastic performances from Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo. The movie is eerie and tense, with some of the most beautiful visuals ever seen in a Scorcese movie. The movie becomes truly unique with it's phenomenal twist ending that makes you feel like you are just as insane as the people in the movie. The movie is an unforgettable experience, and gets better the more you watch it. 9.75/10
