Shane wears a white hat and Palance wears a black hat, but the buried psychology of this movie is a mottled, uneasy, fascinating gray.

Since I was named after this, I thought I should at least see it. I gotta say I was impressed. Shane is classic movie magic from begininng to end. One of the great American westerns.
