A great western, although devoid of much action. Thematically strong. Gunfight at the end is iconic.

Excellent film. It shows the importance of life's lessons and what it means to be a man. Highly recommended for kids. Also shows how it is not always so that the good guys are pure good and the bad guys are pure evil.

Shane is a very tragic figure. He knows the negative consequences that come with violence and does his best to remove himself from the violent world, only to be pulled back in.
