beyond lightweight - Keitel sells his soul for some coin

Keitel acts good. Jackson looks good. The scenery is gorgeous. But this theme has just been done millions of times.

Touching and funny at times, and there's even some depth to the story, but still something essential seems to be missing... Some of the literary lines (the sunset... etc.) are a little too worn out and predictable to be believable coming from a great novelist. A positive movie experience nevertheless.
