Don't care for documentaries as a rule, but this one is stirring, heartwarming, magnificent. Don't miss it.

Hawke’s film is very well crafted, tightly edited and elegantly photographed. The acute musical selections only add to our appreciation of Seymour’s selfless devotion to his art.

A nice documentary and great directorial debut from Ethan Hawke who I hopes continues as a director with showing great promise with this movie. It does feel more like a piano lesson after a while but the constant underscore of Seymour's piano skills and his insightful teachings make it feel less of a school lesson to an interment experience. I would have liked to see more archive on Seymour's rise but what you get is perfectly fine on its own merits

Allows a look into the life of a concert pianist turned instructor who shares the beauty of music intertwined with love of life. Interesting for those who love music- maybe not so much for those who don't.
