Amazing film. a must see for everyone even if you weren't a fan of the blockheads. beautifully shot and well told story

Andy Serkis gives a mesmerising performance of the music icon/legend that is Ian Dury. Certainly brings into focus his fight with Polio, his difficult and at times volatile relationships and the lows highs and lows again of his own music career. And of course, the soundtrack is a belter too!

Brilliant film, I love this film. Andy Serkis was very convincing as Ian Dury, and he plays him with a level of familiarity which makes his portrayal realistic.

Wow! Great rockumentary this. Somehow Mat Whitecross has totally reversed Dury's focuses by making the music almost a backdrop to Ian's tumultuous relationships. Very watchable, but be prepared to sing along.

Watched it at the Duke of York's, Brighton, with ES, in Feb 2010. Excellent - you know the story, you know the man, the film fits well with both. And Serkis is on top form.
