A family story for people who've lived through life's pains. Young audience won't relate, but for those of us who've lived --- terrific!

Diablo Cody has written a script in which the characters themselves are well-drawn, but there isn't enough time or space on the page to devote fully to each drama that is presented.

This was a great movie, Rick Springfield was absolutely fantastic!! Meryl Streep singing and playing the guitar was impressive. She practiced for months- there was no pretending or lip synching. Congrats to Rick for making it to the big screen again!! He's proven with True Detective and now RATF that he's SO much more than a soap opera star! He's a legend, a rock star with awesome guitar skills and a talented actor.
