Like other weaker Keaton films, this suffers from a rather silly plot and weak, wealthy male protagonist. Much of the basis for the humor in the first half is too verbal, without the absurd and even dark stroke of his better films. The second half, however, makes up for the weakness of the first half, as scores of wannabe brides chase him down through the city. The film's reputation is furthered for a great sequence where Buster is being chased down by boulders. It becomes pure Buster, and thus more interesting than the initial premise. For this reason alone, it's worth watching.

For sheer, blissful entertainment look no further than this comedy classic from Buster Keaton, It later was remade into the horrid Chris O Donnel movie The Bachealor, so you already know where to go for the most superior flick.

besides the numerous racist scenes in Seven Chances (which is a reflection of the general mentality of that era), it was brilliant.
