This movie is a great example of just how many of the so-called 'TOP' critics (Richard Roeper) are badly miscast as critics. I really miss Siskel! Caine was great, and Duval never misses. It is really too bad that chumps like these guys spend less than two hours watching a movie, and even less time writing their reviews of a project that took months or years of so many people to film. I'd suggest that these clowns go get a real J-O-B, but I wouldn't want to put any one who digs ditches for a living out of work! Times are tough enough!

great film, great story about learning to respect our elders and believe in a value system that we didn't make up ourselves. love and virtue are things worth believeing in.

When I first watched this I just loved it. I don't remember how old I was but I was young. A first it was more of the jokes and a just the overall feeling that drew me in. Over the years I've seen more of why they do what they do and things I haven't noticed before. If you like happy ending family films (with some sad bits) it's a movie you might want to check out.
