I didn't expect much from this film which was lucky as it wasn't very good. It was entertaining in the kind of cheesy way!

Ok, so I bought this movie for $5 bucks for two reasons, #1. Adam Baldwin. #2. Morena Baccarin. Are you kidding me, a low budget sci-fi movie with 2 firefly cast members, how can I not watch this. So, saying that, this movie is not super terrible, but it is normal terrible. The story is kinda cool, but the effects on the creature and the scale models just look, well, terrible, I can't think of any other word for it right now. The acting from the 3 leads goes from good to awful (I was going to say terrible again, but decided against it) in the same scene. Adam Baldwin clearly knows he is in a bad movie, and seems to enjoyed hamming it up because of it. So, yeah, is it this a bad movie, sure, but did I enjoy watching it, you bet I did.

Considering that it's a Sci-Fi Channel Original Movie and they aren't that good, Sands was a fairly enjoyable film to watch. There is some very nice photography and the creature effects are nice.

Why oh why do such awesome actors from from such a great show as Firefly have to end up doing such crappy movies? Adam and Morena, I weep for you.
