Sand Serpents (2009)

Jason Gedrick and a small group of Marines are stranded in the remote Afghan desert. But it ain't the Taliban that's worrying them, it's these giant refugees from Tremors. In fact the big worms prove to be an ally of sorts by doing better against the Taliban than themselves but battling these enemies is something not covered in their training.

Pretty bad movie, sterotypical soldier types getting eaten by giant worms. It gets 1 star for having the bare essentials for what you need in a movie (such as characters and a plot, kinda), and 1 star for the worms not looking too bad, and if you can do math, that means when you add those together, this is a 2 star movie.

A bit boring and slow, the CGI isn't too great and the characters and bland but it has some good scenes and interesting monsters, but the suicide ending was very unneeded and ultimately ruined the film.

What a pile of worm casings, don't rent it, don't waste bandwidth downloading it, don't take it if a friend wants to give it to you, a real friend wouldn't do that.

A fun, daft, monster movie. Above-average effects for this type of movie. Some good acting too ! The serpents looked really good, good HD transfer too. An enjoyable , but daft 90 minutes.
