Salon Kitty (1976)

In Nazi Germany, Kitty runs a brothel where the soldiers come to 'relax'. Recording devices have been installed by a power-hungry official who plans to use the information to blackmail and usurp Hitler. One of the girls discovers the ploy and, with the madam's help, takes on the dangerous task of exposing the conspiracy.

Erotica, kink, with style and character. This thing comes in at full speed initially trying to shock and awe you. Before it gets a bit stale you realize there is a point here as power and sex entertwine 'gracefully' in Nazi set pieces and costumes to deliver a reverse power position story. Fun to watch, laugh at and with.

You can't expect something profound from Tinto Brass, though I am still shocked by Helmut Berger's nudity.

Although I was lucky to see it full without the editing, a beautiful masterpiece it was, although I can do without the jumprope penis! I am now scarred for life, I dont even want my daughter to own one!!
