Seen this when it first came out on video (which was around the time 'Quills' came out.) It's a good french film. I can still remember the line "Don't have children. They will only destroy your body and grow up to hate you." Don't know why I remembered the line. Guess it sounded cool. Oh, and Daniel Auteuil's Sade makes Geoffery Rush's Sade look like a comic book villian.

Sensual little movie about the Marquis de Sade while he was in a prison for rich political prisoners during the French Revolution. Not quite as titilating as Quills, but still interesting. Great musical score as well.
