If you are at all into mafia flicks and grew up in the Gotti era, this is a must-see! Does not start off promising, but quickly picks up speed. The weaving in of the flashbacks and the headlines was excellent. Based on a true story. A modern Robin-Hood-meets-Bonnie-Clyde-Bronx-Tale. 2 thumbs up. Great performance by the leads as well as Ray Romano n Andy Garcia.

Arianda and Pitt are a fantastic team... But just when it seems like this is a potential "Sid & Nancy"-like portrait of a fringe, manic, grungy couple they become surrounded by extra garbage storylines.

The movie has style, a wonderful mood, character development that sets each scene honestly. Cinematography is well done. What I can't get passed is that it is about two incompetent simpletons who just got lucky. Maybe that is the beauty of it all, but to me it isn't and the ending was predictable because of it, due to the two main character's incompetence. It is a true crime story that proves once again that justice happens through the most improbable chance of luck and fate based on stupidity.

While Rob The Mob doesn’t ultimately hold together, it isn’t for a lack of trying by the performers or the filmmakers—like Tommy and Rosie, it’s doing its damnedest.
