Quick Change (1990)

With the aid of his girlfriend, Phyllis Potter, and best friend, Loomis, Grimm enters a Manhattan bank dressed as a clown, creates a hostage situation and executes a flawless robbery. The only thing left for the trio to do is make their getaway out of the city and to the airport. It sounds simple enough, but it seems that fate deserts them immediately after the bank heist. One mishap after another conspires to keep these robbers from reaching freedom.

Well written, cleverly directed, hilarious fun. Some of the wickedest, dirtiest lines imaginable - all spouted with a strange mix of downbeat resignation and shameless verve by Bill Murray. Has great pace to it, helped along by a playful, jazzy score from Randy Edelman and top notch supporting acts from Jason Robards, Randy Quaid and Geena Davis. But this is Murray's movie - his timing never better, his genius (and missed potential) all in show, as he directed as well as starred in this overlooked gem. Not for everyone, but certainly one of my favourites. 'I think you're just afraid to party with a real man'...

Great little heist film, a rare gem, fallen between the cracks. Great story, awesome characters. A Bill classic, hes a master, tucci's in this one too.
