Katarina is 20 years old. With a troubled past in a dreary suburb, her life seems to be already set in stone - until she discovers music. Everything changes when she hears a performance of Mozart's 'Requiem' at the Gothenburg Concert Hall that sends her reeling and opens up a beautiful new world. She feels that she has to change her life and get as far away from her ugly reality as possible. But the path she has to follow proves to be a treacherous one, filled with lies, betrayal and a dangerous liaison with the married conductor Adam. Yet Katarina is ready to do anything to gain her new identity.

Better than I thougt with an fairy tale ending. A 10 year old boy thinks he can solve ever problem in his life when he finally realizes his mom is on drugs. It wasn't as dark as I thougt but still good. The boy was so lovable and heartwarming. Job well done

good movie about drugs...A bit hard for kids...(mature pG18) but interesting even for adults.

A ten year old boy is desperately trying to cope with looking after his mum who's a junkie, while she spirals down a slippery slope he is left to defend for himself and his little brother. Eventually Mel played by Molly Parker receives help for her habit after being caught by the police and accused of being a dealer. She has no choice but to go into rehab and clean her act up. Meanwhile she loses custody of her two sons who go and live with their grandparents. Eventually things work out for the family and the film ends on a happy note. Shame about them supporting West Ham. What's their song! I'm for ever blowing H...or is it bubbles.
