Exquisite rendition of a complex and dreadful reality. The way Hugh Jackman reacts, the volcano of emotions he shows throughout the plot, his impulsive violence lead to one of his greatest roles ever. Jake Gyllenhall is, again, bloody great, with his calm, Type B laid back attitude to solve the mystery, decomposing every scene and searching through the overwhelming horror that awaits. Howard delivers an impressive over-emotional and powerless role, drawn to desperation and sorrow more than courage and hope to find his daughter.

A teeth grinding experience that kept me drawn throughout. The heart renching situation is constantly in conflict with the actions of the characters and leaves you questioning morality.

Prisoners is an Oscar worthy film it could probably win. I 'm not sure if the movie or anyone is nominated but Gyllenhaal gives the best performance in this as Detective Loki a Twitchy,Calm Determined detective. Jackman and Terrence Howard are both friends who lose their youngest daughters from Kidnapper(s). This movie is Amazing, Dark, Gritty, and Perfect my favorite movie of 2013. People thought this movie was too predictable but i didn't especially know who the Kidnapper is I definitely only suspected the correct person minutes before that person was revealed.

After having the experience of viewing this film, I was so shocked and it haunted me for days and even weeks. This is one of the best crime thrillers I have ever scene. The acting is all amazing. Hugh Jackman in this movie might be his best performance I have ever scene. This film succeeds in everything it sets up. Especially, the atmosphere that always keeps me focused and griping my hands. Some amazing dialogue between the characters made me want more from them. This film always challenges the audience in varies ways, and in some way made my viewing of the film terrifying and disturbing. Prisoners is certainly is the best crime thriller I have ever seen.
