When Eastern European criminals Oleg and Emil come to New York City to pick up their share of a heist score, Oleg steals a video camera and starts filming their activities, both legal and illegal. When they learn how the American media circus can make a remorseless killer look like the victim and make them rich, they target media-savvy NYPD Homicide Detective Eddie Flemming and media-naive FDNY Fire Marshal Jordy Warsaw, the cops investigating their murder and torching of their former criminal partner, filming everything to sell to the local tabloid TV show "Top Story.

I really liked this movie the first time I saw it.... I think I was really hammered. The second time it was a pretty mediocre action movie, but it's pretty good that the lead dies. Aside from that it's a good reflection on the manipulation of the justice system in America.

This was a surprisingly good movie. It definately makes you question how far some people will go for their own time to shine, no matter what the cost.

Ballsy with the characters. DeNiro's fate was impressive for a movie like that. The social commentary wasn't very poetically stated, and the villains were a bit goofy and clunky at times. That being said, this movie did a lot of things that others would shy away from.

(a some what good thriller........but ive seen better. Original review and was 70%) After I watched it acouple times it actuly was a good movie. I did like the direction / writing of this film. The acting is good, and so are the action seens. But what I like the most is the music. 3 out of 4
