I don't know why, but Dad let me watch this when I was 7, and it caused me nightmares for years, don't let children see this movie. I haven't had the balls to watch it since.

Classic John Carpenter. But this movie blows my mind each time I watch it, so I imbibe sparingly.

Ah, for the days when John Carpenter made great movies with next to no budget! Would that we could have that John Carpenter back! This is an apocalyptic tale of a group of grad students and their physics professor who are contracted by the Catholic Church to investigate an ancient secret - a sealed cannister of swirling green goo that has been hidden away for thousands of years. all the while, the grad students seem to be recieving video broadcasts from the future...manifesting as a shared dream. Eerie!
