I simply love the visuals in this movie and set direction. Hughes brothers have a knack for that. It's suspensefull and very gory but it dosen't upstages the performances or the plot. Depp is awesome in here like always and brings a whole different persona in this film. A good thriller to pass the time. MP Grade A+

it has a solid cast lead by Depp, Robbie Coltrane and Heather Graham. The atmosphere they've captured in this film is taking you right back into the past. The performance turned in by Ian Holm, on the other hand, is definitely one of the film's strengths. As Sir William Gull, he is quite believable, with a probing portrayal that does much for the credibility of the story. i just loved the way johnny depp and robbie coltrane act together in this movie.
