A more personal look into Vietnam by Director Oliver Stone. This in my opinion is his best film in his filmography and rightfully so, it is a masterpiece among war films. With the enemy not just who the men fight, but the personal battles within. Every character is well constructed with their own history and beliefs and this makes for a more heartfelt and sincere look into their stories. Highly Recommended! The film currently stands at #86 on AFI's Top 100 Films of All Time list.

An intense and iconic masterpiece. A gritty and bitter memorial to the Vietnam war, with first class performances from a great ensemble cast. Dafoe and Berenger are magnificent and Charlie Sheen really should have done more serious roles after this and Wall Street; if there ever needed to be proof that he can act a straight role, look no further than the village scene. On the subject, this scene is probably one of the most emotive parts of a film I have ever seen. "Dance motherfucker! Dance!". A true masterpiece.

Great Vietnam flick. While all that action would never happen to the same unit. This movie definitely was kick ass. I liked this movie more than Apocalypse Now.
