The best action Vietnam War movie you could watch!

Not the most original war movie ever, but it doesn't need to be. There's impeccable action, grueling battle scenes and the film perfectly reviews the morals of warfare. Oliver Stone showed more effort in Born on the Fourth of July, yet this is an amazing movie, too.

An effectively deep and honest war movie driven by the outstanding acting ensemble, especially Berenger and Dafoe. It succeeds in demonstrating how war requires more than a fight with the enemy, but also a fight with each soldier's moral standing.

An epic war movie. Oliver stone's best film, Brilliantly directed as he was a former soldier in the vietnam it was intresting to see his point of view and show us the coping soldiers had to take, plus the greed and self made moral choices within soldiers and people around. A great insight of the american soldiers and how they lived and breathed their Vietnam memories. Unique cast and great acting by all. Also my favourite fictional war characters in the moviie (Barnes played by Tom Berenger) the most intresting character in it. One of the very best of the 1980's. Top 10 favourite movies.

Le second film majeur sur la Guerre du Vietnam. A la difference du film de Coppola, Oliver Stone y apporte une vision plus realiste et plus moderne, sans doute parce qu'il y a participe. Il pose ainsi une magnifique premiere pierre a sa trilogie sur le Vietnam. Les acteurs sont tous servis par des personnages tres travailles dans une histoire qui l'est tout autant. C'est un Classique maintenant.
