Planet Hulk (2010)

When the Hulk's presence on Earth becomes too great a risk, the Illuminati trick him to board a shuttle destined for a planet where he will be able to live in peace, and launch it into space. The Hulk's struggle to escape causes the shuttle to malfunction and crash land on the planet Sakaar, however, where he is sold into slavery and trained as a gladiator.

quite enjoyable, got about 65% of the original story in there. Could have made it 30-40 mins longer and stick even closer to the original... so they can follow it with world war hulk and keep the tragic story rolling...

It was an average Marvel Animation film, with both it's positives and negatives. The story itself is great and very interesting of an idea to explore. Hulk is an iconic character and giving him the personality and ability to have a regular conversation definitely added to the story and was more effective than the loud outbursts. The animating seemed very plain and almost boring to watch and I felt with a little more detail shown it would have provided more to the enjoyment factor. There was a decent job in giving a lot of depth in the main characters with all having a brief backstory to play on as the film progressed which I felt was a well done trait.

As far as the animated Marvel films go this one is one of my favs... It did a great job of showing Hulks compassionate side... Not just an angry green monster who destroys everything... Hes got honor now.

An animated feature adapting the comics of the same name, The Hulk is sent into outer space to eliminate the amount of destruction he causes on Earth, but he lands on a strange planet where he rises to notoriety as a gladiator, and just might be the prophesied hero destined to free the natives from the tyrannical rule of their leader. I'm not a huge fan of the Hulk in general, but this was a fast breezy story that hits the ground running and doesn't really look back. Worth a rental.
