The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988)

Years after the end of the original series, David Banner continues his wandering search for a cure for the condition that turns him into the Hulk. He reunites with former colleague Don Blake, unaware of his mystical connection to Thor. I grew up watching this made for TV flick on VHS, and it still (kind of) holds up today. The plot is straight forward and the acting is good all around. The whole Thor plot is a tad silly, but what can you do? Ferrigno is awesome as the Hulk, a truly frightening figure.

TV movie picks up 6 years after the CBS series left off. Bixby is again good but story disappoints relative to the tv show as it gets derailed by the curious addition of another comic book hero, Thor. Jack Colvin's last appearance with the series.

The Hulk is back. Unfortunately it was in the first of a series of three TV movies that all had varying degrees of success. This was the worst of the bunch with the green machine teaming up with the moronic Thor.

I loved the show, so I had to see the movie, but enough explanations. This is a badly made movie, it's silly, got bad special effects (worse than the show), and it adds Thor for some crazy reason. Still, I kinda liked it. It was funny because it was bad, and overall, it was fun to watch. Although it is quite unbelievable that David could go almost 2 years without becoming the Hulk!
