What a breathtaking film! It's absolutely gorgeous and lives up to the hype. Who doesn't like DDL but on top of that Vicky keeps up with him and is just as good throughout the entire film. Lesley Manville is also amazing and her looks could really kill. The score literally sucks you into the film and you almost forget you were watching a movie and not actually with Reynolds and Alma in their world.

Wow, the acting in this movie was amazing. On both Mr. Lewis and Ms Krieps' part. Also, the dialogue, the intrigue and emotional interplay between the characters was very palpable. Mr. Lewis' character was so interesting, complex, complicated, dysfunctional, sad. And Ms Krieps character handles this all in her own way, leading to a weird understanding on both their parts as to what work s for them.
