Phantom of the Megaplex (2000)

Pete Riley is a 17-year-old who lands a part-time job at a multiplex in his neighbourhood. He and his friends are excited when it's announced that the theatre will play host to the premier of a major motion picture, with a number of Hollywood celebrities in attendance. However, when the big night comes, Pete has to contend with disappearing staff, malfunctioning equipment, and a broken popcorn machine.

Pretty boring, plot didn't really go anywhere. Cute, predictable ending. Younger kids [6-10] would probably like this movie more.

This movie was awesome. It is a great reimagining of the Phantom of the Opera. It may star mostly people we will never hear from again(besides the always great Mickey Rooney), but it is just a good movie and definitely worth a watch. It is my favorite Disney Channel movie of all time, and you should see it next time you find it while flipping through the channels.

Terrible and cringe worthy. However, amidst the muck are two suprisingly inspired scenes involving Mickey Rooney. One in which he sings "Hooray for Hollywood" and another where tenderly explains the magic of movies. Never have I heard it put into words as well as it was here. It's a shame the rest is so bad. Dumbed down afternoon family viewing.
