This movie is a homage for Gundam and other big mech battle movies. If you'd like to see an actual movie that tries to be like some anime battle mech movies this is the best movie you'll ever get it's Guillermo Del Toro at it's best.

Let's be honest here .... when you come to watch this you know what you are getting. A giant mecha movie of humans fighting giant monsters. I don't know what critics who come to this movie expecting a cinematic masterpiece equivalent to the godfather or Endgame in terms of storytelling. Switch off your brain and turn on the drift to simply enjoy this, but i do wish the sequel was better.

I grow up with Goldorak. That thig is so amazing. Excellent acting. I really hated the trailer. A friend of mine told me many time to see it. I was sold very quick. Del Toro is great. When they get these 2 people, their mind together. It's like the force in star wars, it's the magic there. Can't wait for Gipsy danger 2.0

I love this movie. Awesome characters, amazing concept, cool as hell action. It may seem like a meaningless, run of the mill action to most, but to a trained eye, it has nuance that you wouldn't be able to get elsewhere. Extremely entertaining. I could watch this movie again and again and never get bored. Awesome performances and great effects as well. Really glad they didn't make the two have a romantic subplot, or at least an overt one. Awesome movie.

I absolutely loved the movie. Visually appealing and the story line was engaging. It was described to me as a 13 year olds movie and I think that is why we watch these movies is to let our imagination flow.......through the eyes of our inner child.
