one of the best sci-fi films ever! always an interesting watch and now they are doing a remake, so lets hope its as good as the original!

Set after a post apocalyptic time when the last surviving humans are living underground but because of space they must sacrifice themselves when the reach the ripe old age of 30 but one man Logan doesn't think that is a good idea and sets off on finding the surface to see if the world is habitable again and he is accompanied by Jessica, they make the arduous trip through the miles of tunnels and they are chased by Logans friend Francis hell bent on stopping him at what ever cost. Classic scifi from 1976 starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter, and Richard Jordan. This movie also spawned a tv show as well.

This is a cult-classic that you must see. Very typical of the 70's and yet I don't think it quite would have worked if it wasn't for the 70's. Absolutely amazing.

I bought this wondering if I would really like it as much as I did as a six-year-old. I liked it a lot more today. Yes, the sets and special effects are 1970s, but the the examination of pure pleasure at the cost of freedom, love, and growing old still seems relevant. And I'm not sure why Farrah gets higher Flixter billing than Jenny Agutter. Jenny's the star, and she's HOT.
