This film is still awesome and good. Over the top is such a classic 80's film I mean you don't see a film that has so much heart and this one does. The story is heartwarming I mean a man who wants his son back by proving that he is not a loser and getting the respect he deserves and I love that story plus the film is drama but with a little bit of action because of the arm wrestling matches and it has heart now that is what you call a film and Sylvester Stallone proves that he is still the best action star out there and also a awesome actor. Overall Over the top is a well made 80's film with drama, action, and heart and it has a good lesson fight for whats right and never give up now that is a fucking good lesson and this film will always be a classic. Well done director Menahem Golan you made a well made classic drama film with heart and action and Sylvester Stallone you are still the best of the best and that is still awesome. good job and well done and remember if you want to prove something, you just got to go "over the top" and fight for whats right.

Just watched this last night for the first time in years and I freaking loved it! My favorite Stallone flick, going back to when I was just a wee one. Lincoln Hawk rocks! It has a fantastic late 80's soundtrack featuring Sammy Hagar and the soundtrack king Kenny Loggins.

Love this for the pure cheese and goodness. When I was a kid I remember loving this and really thinking Hawk would be the coolest movie dad ever. I still get chocked up at this fucking cheeseball of a movie, even more so now that I have a son. If you can watch this and not sing the Kenny Logins song for the next hour or two afterward, more power to you. "Meet me half day Across the sky Out where the world belongs To only you and I"
