One Night in the Tropics (1940)

Jim "Lucky" Moore, an insurance salesman, comes up with a novel policy for his friend, Steve: a 'love insurance policy', that will pay out $1-million if Steve does not marry his fiancée, Cynthia. The upcoming marriage is jeopardized by Steve's ex-girlfriend, Mickey, and Cynthia's disapproving Aunt Kitty. The policy is underwritten by a nightclub owner, Roscoe, who sends two enforcers - Abbott and Costello - to ensure that the wedding occurs as planned.

The film is the film debut of comedians Abbott and Costello, and although they are magnificent in the movie, they're not the main focus. The main foxus is one a guy name Steve who needs help getting married. Steve's friend James helps him and they run into Abbott and Costello a few time. Abbott and Costello steal the movie with their rountines and gags.

The only thing special about this Universal musicomedy is the first screen appearance of Bud Abbott & Lou Costello (third-billed) who recreate their famous "Who's On First" routine.

was the only second abbott and costello movie i have seen and i have to say i love their work i cant say a bad word about them i cant remember the last time i have laughed so much while watching a movie the way i did watching these two if you want a laugh then should see this utter brilliant
