It's supposed to be a humorous, all-too-human look at how hope can breed a certain kind of madness -- and strength -- but it never quite adds up.

This film works so well because of the characters the story comes second to this. Really good performances from all leads make the an enjoyable and humerous hit. For me the best performance is from Michael Jetter in his understated role of a vagrent. Well written and well shot with good supporting cast including Patricia Clarkson and George Clooney.

A kooky comedy heist movie could go so wrong, but this goes so right. Great cast, dialogue, plot etc., etc.
