This funny, quick--paced comedy never loses it's footing nor gets overly sillly thanks to tight scriptiing, direction and spirited comic performances led by Hope.

I've been on a Bob Hope kick lately and had never seen this one. This really puts Jim Carrey's "Liar Liar" to shame. Absolutely hilarious and Paulette Goddard is enchanting. Hmmmm...a Rumplemeyer!

An ancestor of the gender twisted Tea For Two (1950) and later the Jim Carrey gem: Liar Liar (1997). Hope is a young stockbroker who must tell the truth for 24 hours to win a bet. Great fun.
