It’s beguiling that a film with an almost religious aversion to subtext could be so unsure of its own subject, but Pellington knows from experience that it’s hard to put a finger on impermanence.

A multi-character study of grief and loss as represented through the things people leave behind, it's a heartfelt work from Pellington.

Frank Swietek 28 Feb 2018

Despite an occasional moving moment,...this cinematic dirge fails to achieve the degree of profundity it's obviously aiming for.

Wonderful performances by all major players. The movie needs to be edited more tightly and the screen writers OVER-EXPLAIN the message. The movies ends up being too long and too emotionally obvious.

No doubt everyone can relate to the central idea of wondering about the purpose of the mementos we leave behind or those we discover after a death in the family. But a promising theme does not necessarily make for a satisfying movie.
