how boring! how pseudo-artistic and pretentious film! it made me lose my faith in asian movies - no story, no dialogues, no charm... and not much to talk about after leaving the cinema. actually, i wanted to leave the cinema before the ending, but i didn't in vague hope that maybe something will eventually happen. what a mistake!

Tsai's style is essentially written in stone at this point, and [this] hardly challenges it. [He] is as visually adept here as ever, right up to the film's peaceful final shot.

Nice to see it filming in Malaysia although only shown the ugly side. Quite an intense story.

A beautiful, intriguing and very hypnotic film that is equally transcending as it is frustrating. The deliberate slow pace suits the loneliness of the charcaters and their existance but as the film went on I found the distinct lack of character too much and became very disinterested. An odd experience that is definitely not for everybody.

It's a very good movie about using other people's bodies to give some meaning to your life.
