A pillar of Japanese anime. This film yields more layers with every viewing. Highly recommended.

among the best animes ever released. the story driving this fantastic tale is superb. each character is crafted right and its sense of storytelling with visual art allows you to feel as if you are watching a serious live-action samurai drama. pure genius.

I SAW THIS! I didn't think I did... it was amazing and stupid. Pretty awesome looking characters, though. And who can pass up a whole boat of molten gold?

I felt incomplete before watching this, it truly is one of the best animes ever created...it ticks everysingle anime box in a damn good way, ultra violence, hints of rape but enough to make you feel disturbed, superb animation, a crazy plot with crazy characters and lastly, voices that make Mr Samuel L Jackson seem mildly cool. I recommend the series too.
