Tom Hanks has a real talent for acting as likable characters in his movies. This movie was full of excellent characters. Prison guards with a humane attitude towards the prisoners and their job. That was refreshing. The electrocutions scenes proved to be of great contrast to the feel good vibe that was presented throughout this long but never boring movie. The pace was perfectly calm with lots of nice little side issues. I kept looking forward to what the next scene would behold to me. This, quite literally, is a WONDERFUL movie

Under the direction of Frank Darabont, and born of the mind of the genius that is Stephen King, comes a moving story with great touches and reflective finish. Stephen King is the undisputed master of contemporary horror, but we see one of his best works reflected in this brilliant adaptation.

With an immense feeling of dread and depression, yet hope and wonder, The Green Mile is a fantastic film, backed up with brilliant performances by everyone in the cast, and an emotional, interesting and powerful storyline.

An extraordinary, perfect drama. It made me more than a complete person. Of all the movies I have watched, The Green Mile is the one of the best.
