I liked the movie, but I think either the screenplay or the editing wasn't very good. The character development suffered.

I even like it better than la Ceremonie. To me it's the best Charbol-Isabelle film ever since Violette Noziere. I don't think everything needs explanation, but bits by bits the mystery is unfold and the last 10 minutes does explain everything. Can never forget Isabelle's performance during the last 10 minutes. The unsettling mood in the atmosphere is greatly enhanced by the mystery in the acting. No wonder why Charbol and Isabelle is a perfect match...

Sans doute c'est le plus grand performanace d'Anna Mouglalis.

Un thriller efficace marqué par la beauté d'Anna Mouglalis et la forte présence d'Isabelle Huppert.

Roger Ebert 22 Aug 2002

Isabelle Huppert has the best poker face since Buster Keaton. She faces the camera with detached regard, inviting us to imagine what she is thinking.
