Never Cry Werewolf (2008)

Loren doesn't like her new neighbor, Jared, or his vicious dog. Along with her friend Steven, Loren spies on Jared and begins to suspect he's a werewolf, responsible for a rash of disappearances. But Jared is watching her just as closely because Loren reminds him of his dead wife. As a full-moon night nears, Loren enlists the help of TV star Redd Tucker, who knows how to hunt -- and who believes her werewolf theory.

Pretty standard wolf flick with more focus on the characters (a gorgeous Dobrev always does the trick) than on the special effects. Not a big problem. Sorbo is the comic relief here. You see everything coming a mile away, but it's harmless entertainment.

Loved this movie!! So much intensity. You never know what's going to happen next. There is really great forshadowing.

Never Cry Werewolf isn't a bad film nor is it that spectacular.

Think Eighties classic comedy/horror Fright Night with a werewolf instead of a vampire, plus a lower budget and a less charismatic beastie and you have Never Cry Werewolf. Mildly diverting fun.

Painfully bad. Then Hercules screams like a girl and climbs up a tree, and I start laughing my ass off, then something else painfully cheesy happens and I'm groaning again. Peter Stebbings gets about two minutes to be scary hot, then the stupidity crashes in again, then the girl gets a spine and is sortof awesome for about two minutes and something else unbearably lame happens, and so on. I got some chuckles out of it at least!
