Incomprehensible, incoherent slime-stew featuring a creepy cadre of kooky-costumed cretins who emerge from underneath the Golden Gate Bridge (?) to indiscriminately slaughter the teen citizenry of San Francisco! Oddball, almost indescribable in its bizarre, yet-strangely fascinating ineptness. After some lengthy (And rather pointless) character exposition, it is revealed that these strange assassins are easily dispatched of with water. Then why in the Hoo-Hah do they live under the GG Bridge? Nothing is ever explained about the who, what, why, where, when, & how of these Hoodlum-Hackers, but perhaps that's what makes the film so freakishly compelling to me! I can't explain it, but I enjoy this wacky little tick-turd--a true guilty pleasure!

Neon Maniacs has all the potential to be a balls out monster/horror film but comes off as boring and silly. It was almost like a poor mans Hellraiser with hillbilly cenobite rejects that couldn't make the cut. Good make-up on the monsters but no real good gore effects, nothing stands out and we get no real explanation as to why a group of ghouls live in the golden gate bridge in San Fran and come out at night to kill people. I'm all for horror cheese and a film that boasts monsters on a killing spree should be something I'd salivate at to watch but I wasn't feeling this one, it didn't deliver on the goods. Great idea, weak execution

There is nothing really scary about Neon Maniacs and there is nothing really neon either. It is boring and lacks explanation. Some back story and maybe a little bit more detailed monster design could go a long way.
