After delivering the most devestating, violent and thought provoking horror film of the last, at least, ten years with the mindf***ing and upsetting *MARTYRS* , Pascal Laugier again excels greatly at twisting and turning the plot in ways that make your head spin. Utilising a similarly jarred take at pacing the movie, like he did with his previous masterpiece, he amazingly seemed to have come closer to making a more enjoyable film as a whole. although not as radical or nearly as mindbending als the movie that came before it *the tall man* is a movie that still unsettles, unnerves, scares and confuses the viewer. Strong social commentary makes this movie, just as *Martyrs*, very well worth of discussing the theme that lies in the heart of it, for hours after the credits roll. Well done and hats off to actress and executive producer Jessica Biel for turning in a believable performance as well as producing a film that seems extremely true to the directors style and vision. Well done!

I've had the pleasure of seeing this film and already I can safely say this is my favourite film of the year!!! Sure it will cause many debates and will quite anger some small minded folk but the message it conveys is nothing short of brilliant!!!! A+

What a great, great thriller. This is what movies are supposed to be about, they give you the idea that its this predictable horror flick like so many others out there but as the minutes go by you suddenly realize that its something completely different than what you were assuming and you end up helplessly hooked on it. I absolutely love the twist and the reason for the children disappearing, I dont know why so many critics find the reasoning behind it ridiculous because it totally makes sense. It just makes me realize that because you can publish a well written review doesnt necessarily mean you truly understand the film you just reviewed. The subject matter is something I dont believe has been touched before in this type of genre, the idea is fresh and all you have to do is understand modern day politics to understand how it would make sense. Watch the film, it will keep you guessing until almost the very end.
